We’re looking for a Design Engineer – Aerodynamics Surfacing to join our team and play a key role in developing high‑performance aerodynamic geometry for wind tunnel testing, CFD and race car application. Key Responsibilities: As a Design Engineer within the Aerodynamics group, you’ll take ownership of design projects and contribute to the development of our aerodynamic philosophy. You will: Lead aerodynamic design projects from concept through to release, including modelling, validation and documentation. Develop high‑quality surface models for CFD and wind tunnel testing. Ensure timely delivery of components for wind tunnel testing, collaborating with model shop and production teams. Support and participate in wind tunnel testing activities and development programmes. Continuously improve wind tunnel model quality, performance and testing efficiency. Contribute to parametric modelling strategies and design methodologies. Identify risks, opportunities and improvements, communicating progress to senior designers. Collaborate closely with aerodynamicists and cross‑functional teams to enhance development strategies. Skills & Expertise: We’re looking for a technically capable, driven engineer with a strong interest in aerodynamics. You’ll ideally have: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Strong CAD skills (preferably CATIA) and experience in surface modelling. A solid understanding of composite design, materials and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of FEA, GD&T and engineering validation techniques. Understanding of aerodynamic development, wind tunnel testing and CFD processes. Familiarity with FIA technical regulations (desirable). Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver high‑quality work under pressure. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
