Job Description: Team leader Assembly, Integration & Testing We are looking for a Team Leader to lead the Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) departments. In this role, you will report to the Head of AIT. You will manage a team of approximately 10–15 employees, both hierarchically and operationally. Key responsibilities: Operational Planning Assign team members to projects and workstations based on capacity planning and available resources. Identify and anticipate workload bottlenecks and capacity constraints. Plan, organize, and oversee the execution of team activities. Ensure optimal and flexible deployment of people, tools, and facilities. Support efficient utilization of test and production facilities (internal and external use). Lead and Role out process and improvements Team Leadership & Development Manage the team effectively, including people, processes, and resources. Support the professional development of employees to ensure high-quality and flexible employability. Facilitate knowledge sharing, knowledge transfer, and required certifications. Act as a working supervisor when needed. Coordinate (international) working groups for onsite customer support activities. Technical Facilities & Safety Ensure proper maintenance of tools, cleanrooms, and production equipment. Support the availability, development, and management of technical facilities. Identify and escalate building- and safety-related issues, ensuring proper follow-up. Stakeholder Management & Improvement Advise the Head of AIT on management and knowledge-area topics and support implementation within the team. Contribute to departmental plans, annual investment plans, and budgets, including monitoring and reporting deviations. Co-responsible for executing approved investment proposals. Contribute to business development and acquisition activities within the knowledge area. Translate developments in the field into team activities and processes. Drive continuous improvement within the area of responsibility. Profile of our ideal candidate: Hands-on experience in a technical environment. Strong understanding of technical systems, processes, and/or infrastructure. Strong focus on quality, LEAN and continuous improvement in all aspects of work. Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, developers, and technicians. Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Ability to inspire and guide individuals towards common goals, in line with Airbus values. Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and actively listen to others. Strong team player with awareness of own and others’ emotions (emotional intelligence). Open to change and able to adapt to new situations and evolving environments. Requirements: MBO/ HBO Bachelor degree (technical background preferred) 2–5+ years of experience as a team leader, supervisor, or project lead in a technical environment Must be able to communicate effectively in English and Dutch (verbal and written) Available 40 hours per week.
